Our nice little weekend away from home

So this past weekend we had the chance to go to boise to see zacks mom. We had a friend drive us down with zacks motorcycle so we could trade it with a car. Which is really nice now to have because sometimes its really hard to have to drive each other around all the time. So we got there late thursday night and stayed until Sunday. We went to see one of zacks friends, who just got married. We went to their open house to see them at it was really fun to see someone else's wedding as a still newly married couple ourselves. It reminded me of our own wedding and it was so nice to see that others can share in the happiness we have.
Then we went to the fair with some of our friends and it was a fun night out on the town!! lol. Well we like to call it that, but it was so nice. Zack got to see one of his best friends who just recently had a baby who is adorable! it is so good to see how our friends are growing up so fast and seeing each others families grow bigger and bigger by the moment. We are finally seeing our friends get married and have children and its so weird, but its such an amazing blessing to have a family of your own.
Then on Sunday we helped in nursery in the ward and it was way hectic but so fun. Everyone kept telling me this was birth control, but i know caring for other peoples children is different from having your own. We cant wait to have a family, but have decided we need to wait a little big longer. We are trying to save up so we can go to Ecuador where Zack served his mission. He wants to show me where he was and what he did for two years. So maybe after that we can see about having children of our own and starting a wonderful family. (zack is going to be an excellent dad).
And then after church Zacks dad flew into boise just to see us, and it was sad that we had to go so soon. But it was fun for us to talk and see what each other has been up to for the past 8 months. So now we are back in Rexburg working again, which is where we dont necessarily want to be, but what can you do?
Next weekend we are going to take a drive to Salt Lake and watch a baby blessing. We are so excited to be able to witness that!

good ol' rexburg

We are so busy working our life away at applebees. This weekend we are going to Boise to see one of zacks friend who recently got married. We are going to go to the open house, and it will be nice to get out of rexburg for the weekend. We also found out that the fair is also this weekend so hopefully we can go! School starts for Zack on Sept. 10th and i hope he gets ready. I know he is not ready to go back to school, but eventually it will be all over with. It doesnt feel like the end is near at all though. Derek has been writing letters to us from the mtc and is glad to be leaving and on his way to long beach california. He and Zack write letters in spanish to each other and i feel they are probably talking about me all the time!! But we are way proud of him. And what is really cool is that Nic has been out on his mission for a year already. So only one year to go!

We love being married and this weekend will be 8 months... its crazy, 8 MONTHS ALREADY!! it doesnt feel like that long, but we love being married and every day there is always something new and exciting we find out about each other.

all moved in

We finally are all moved into our new apartment in Rexburg. We love being married and love finding out new things about each other every day. We have been trying to get situated and getting things ready in our apartment and finally we think we are done!
Rachel is in school and taking 16 credits which is really taking its toll on her. She is trying to get her degree in early childhood/ special education and trying to graduate on time. She goes to school monday through friday and then only works about 3 days a week which is enough for her to handle right now. She is always doing homework or going to school and trying to keep up the apartment.
Zack is working full time at applebees still and cant wait till he gets his degree to do something else! He works mostly mornings now and gets in about 8 hours a day and comes home and is just exhausted. He is so great because he is working so hard to get us on our feet.

We have a futon as our couch and cant wait for someone to come visit us! SO COME ON!
